ASPEC 271 System

This ASPEC® system provides the ultimate in versatility by combining flexible positive pressure solid phase extraction (SPE), precise liquid handling, large bed capacity, and on-line integration with liquid chromatography (LC) systems. With its large cartridge capacity and small footprint, it enables unattended processing of a high number of samples per day for any SPE application, even those requiring multiple extractions. The dual syringe pump option and injection module allow for automation of any liquid handling protocol such as SPE, supported liquid extraction (SLE), liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC)/SPE, including LC integration. Combined with ASPEC SPE Cartridges, the system generates reproducible sample cleanup for clinical, forensic, doping, food and environmental testing, and research labs.

Positive Pressure for Reproducible Extractions

Positive pressure extraction with unique sealing cap design increases reproducibility from sample to sample. The syringe pump delivers accurate volume dispensing.

Smart Design for Maximized Performance

Mobile rack technology enables multiple fraction elution and extraction per sample, and additional sample preparation steps after SPE. Broad volume range with dual syringes pump option handles volumes as low as 10 µL for combined sample cleanup and liquid handling applications.

Intuitive Error Handling for Trusted Results

The syringe pump pressure-sensing module provides error handling for high cartridge pressure or clogged liquid lines and monitors pressure on each fluid path individually. Optional jet wash rinse stations minimize carryover and cross contamination.

Versatile Software Control for Optimized Productivity

TRILUTION® Software allows for multiple liquid handling applications such as LLE and SPE on the same ASPEC system. Optimize throughput and efficiency by processing samples in either batch or sequential mode. Multiple fraction elution allows you to automate and optimize method development.

Unmatched Versatility

The system offers a variety of features to fit your workflows and give you the flexibility you need. • Standard racks accommodate 1, 3, and 6 mL SPE polypropylene and glass cartridges • Large bed capacity for processing up to 144 samples unattended • Multiple fraction elution (up to nine with 1 mL cartridges) • Multiple sequential extractions from the same sample • Transfer eluates in sealed injection vials or directly into an LC injection valve • Access to five solvent reservoirs • Single syringe pump enables air push from either syringes or external air sources • Modular design allows use of a large range of collection tubes from 2 mL vials to 15 mL tubes (16 x 100 mm) • Optional GX direct injection module for performing on-line injections onto HPLC or LC/MS systems • Dual syringe pump option manages volumes from 10 μL to 25 mL with high accuracy and precision • Use as an SPE instrument or a liquid handling instrument. Allows for easy pre- and post-purification processing
